Our Philosophy

We started these groups to challenge ourselves and others about the beliefs and attitudes we hold about food and weight, and the effect of society's gender stereotypes on us all.

We work from a feminist perspective. To us, feminism is about choice, diversity, respect for women's experiences, and consciousness of the world around us.

We want to provide a forum to examine ourselves and society's influences on us. We want to explore the concept of freedom from patterns of dieting, body shape and food obsession, and open up the possibility of increased creativity, joy, and connection to our true selves.

We approach this work with joy.

We experience women's synergy, connectedness, and honesty as powerful and transformative.

To this end, we strive to create a safe, non-judgemental, and inviting space for women to examine their beliefs and behaviors around food and their bodies.
